Hello again, sorry for a naive question

Can I calculate the absorption in each layer of the receiver body by evaluating the Poynting flux difference between the top and bottom interface of that layer?

-------------- z0
emitter, T1
-------------- z1
Vacuum gap
-------------- z2
layer 1, T2
-------------- z3
layer 2, T2

if I set the emitter to be the source and probing line to be z2(or at vacuum gap), The calculated phi is the radiative exchange between the emitter and the whole layer1 and layer2, right? So, at z3 is between the emitter and the layer2. Then, the absorption in layer1 is ( (phi,z2)-(phi,z3) )*( Theta(w, T1) - Theta(w, T2) ). Is this correct?

Thank you,
Nat
