Stats tracking stopped Aug 31

For some reason the stats tracker stopped collecting in GHCR

I wonder if we were alerted by e-mail when it stopped? I'm guessing scheduled jobs stopped due to inactivity in the git repository.

I did a new release to begin tracking the stats again. It looks like as long as there is a new release every 3 months or so, we can be pretty assured that stats tracking will continue. The discontinuity is kind of hard to miss right now, (but with another 3 months of data collection after this gap it will be harder to spot again)

We should implement some rigorous prometheus alertmanager alerting so we actually know when it stops for something like half a day or more. It's been down this whole time and I forgot to do anything about it, (on account of ya know, the whole company shutting down and stuff)
