I would really like to see some different colors to the dragon familiar.
Maybe letting change the color through an ingredient in the ritual(i.e. if you add dye to a bowl in addition to the existing ingredients it will summon the dragon the color that you put in the bowl)
Another possibility is just simply letting the walk up and apply dye to it.
Maybe instead of applying dye you could give dye to the blacksmith?
Or add a recipe for "magical" dye for a more immersive experience. That way it will actually seem like you're "changing" the color of its scales as to just slapping some paint on a mythical beast.
You could also just randomize dragon colors when you summon them but I don't think that is nearly as satisfying.
If you do decide to take this on if some of the more "elegant" solutions are too time consuming I think myself and many others would much perfer the ability to dye it with a more simple solution in the meantime as you develop the mechanics.
I love your mod and the familiars and a big highlight for me. I do not think giving neat little ways of customizing them will go unnoticed by players.

I like the idea - I cannot promise when I get to it because I think it needs some deeper technical changes. Currently the dragons use a texture, so there would have to be some changes to the texture, and to the rendering to allow for that.
