TLDR:

input -> FULL BRIDGE RECTIFIER!!! -> transistor -> high frequency transformer -> diodes -> inductor -> capacitor -> another inductor -> capacitor -> output then the output is fed into a feedback loop, which basically tell the control IC how off the output is

the feedback cause the controller to make the transistor on and off for a different duty cycle. For example, a 12V psu could be 100% at 12V and 0% at 12.2V
