Python3 uncompability

Your script is currently not compatible with Python 3, which limits its use on modern systems. I have rewritten the code in my fork to make it fully compatible with Python 3: https://github.com/eastwickcz/check_linux_metrics.

Feel free to use my fork as a base for upgrading the project to Python 3. Let me know if you have any questions or need assistance with the transition.
