Setting a book as wanted in the Series screen results in an empty table after screen reloads

When I enter the Series screen and select a book to mark as Wanted and click Go the screen refreshes but there are no entries in the table (it says No books found). If I go back a screen and then refresh the page the wanted setting has been enabled. I have triied this multiple times with multiple books and both ebook and audiobook and get the same result. The entry in the log is

'Unable to set status Wanted for marktype'
