I could see embedding a collection (maybe slideshow view) or embedding a single item. Maybe this could be made in a way that would generalize to other schools?

I don't think I need my own pluslet! I think I can just take the existing RSS feed and pass it URLs like http://libarchive.linnbenton.edu/catalog.rss?f[member_of_collections_ssim][]=The+Commuter

This doesn't contain images. And subjectsplus doesn't seem to observe the element of RSS, but it will work just fine if I modify the hyrax/blacklight RSS generator to put the image in the description.
