on click events

Is there a way to listen for the on-click so that I can perform a function when it fires?

I've managed to register events using the extraJsOptions() method like this.

  return RawJs::make(<<<'JS'
    {
      chart: {
        events: {
          dataPointSelection: function(event, chartContext, config) {
            console.log(event);
            console.log(chartContext);
            console.log(config);
          }
        }
      }
    }

}
