Describe the bug

After upgrading Kubernetes to v1.31.5, the Lens Metrics in the Lens app do not work any more. The Cluster Overview tab says that "Metrics are not available due to missing or invalid configuration."

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Upgrade Kubernetes to v1.31.5
  2. Go to the Overview or Nodes tabs in Lens and observe that the stats and metrics are not showing
  3. Try to upgrade/uninstall/reinstall the Lens Metrics from the Cluster Settings
  4. See that this does not help.

The pods in the lens-metrics namespace look fine though:

Environment (please complete the following information):

  • Lens Version: Lens: 2025.1.161916-latest
  • OS: MacOS Sequoia 15.3
  • Installation method: DMG

Logs:
When you run the application executable from command line you will see some logging output. Please paste them here:

Please tell me what logs and from where I should collect, I will attach them.

Kubeconfig:

The kubeconfig should not be the culprit because I can connect to the cluster without problems

Additional context

There are other clusters (Kubernetes v1.30) managed by the same Lens app, I can see their metrics all right in the same Lens app:
