Batch remove tag in tables broken

What Happened?

I can do the following:

1. Select all in a table
2. click on a tag cell
3. add a new tag

As expected, the new tag is added to all the selected cells.

However, the same sequence does not work if I try to remove a tag by unselecting it. In this case it only removes it from the individual cell, not all the others selected rows.

I see the problem is more generalized. I am also unable to batch change status.

I may be wrong about being able to batch add tags. I tried it again and it didn't work. It may just be that batch operations aren't enabled yet?
