Error evaluating rule: Cannot convert undefined or null to object

Although erroring is the right outcome... it should not be due to a runtime error, and the right message should be displayed!

While fixing this, a better default is to assume all views with an unspecified table are field-only rather than using the implicit table value. We can add a rule option to enable the stricter interpretation.
