hyperref links rendered horizontally (without rotation)

while using the package with hyperref, if your events contain citations or any other objects which generate hyperref links, these are rendered horizontally, together with the main line, and aren't rotated to follow the text.

since my limited knowledge of latex doesn't allows for a solution i've came up with a workaround by selectively disabling hyperref between the chronology environment
