Risk Statement:

If the GMagAO-X optics are not kept clean, coronagraphic contrast will be compromised.

Risk Effects:

Contamination can cause aberrations that can be partially compensated by the DM. The contamination also reduces throughput, which reduces sensitivity. Contamination causes scattering, which reduces contrast.
