Summary

It would be incredibly useful to enhance the time tracker by adding a timer feature that allows users to:

Start a timer with a single click.
Pause, resume, or end the timer as needed.
Edit the timer entries later, if necessary.

To promote transparency and accountability, the feature should include a history log that records all changes made to time entries, such as pauses, edits, or deletions. This would ensure that team members cannot alter their tracked time without the changes being visible, fostering trust and avoiding potential misuse.

Proposed Features:

A “Start Timer” button to initiate time tracking.
Options to pause, resume, and end the timer.
Ability to manually edit the time log later.
A change log or history for each timer entry, showing:
    Start and end times.
    Pause and resume events.
Any manual edits, along with timestamps and user details for accountability.

I am sure there is a more elegant way to structure this to manage accountability but this is a start.

Why should this be worked on?

Streamlined and user-friendly time tracking.
Increased flexibility for users to manage their time entries.
Improved transparency within teams through detailed logs of changes.

This feature would be valuable for teams who rely on accurate time tracking to manage projects and productivity.
