it would be interesting integrating this with an AD (windows domain), so I could authenticate in the AD and the list of friends would be directly obtained as all AD users.

I don't usually work with Microsoft products but I think Active Domain has LDAP support?

VMUX uses https://github.com/bnoguchi/everyauth under the hood for authentication. It already supports loads of auth providers and it's really easy to create new ones. There's experimental LDAP support.

yes, AD has LDAP support. althought that would work in theory for authentication, it would not be useful, i guess, for obtaining friends. nevertheless, AD authenticationby itself would be nice for corporate scenarios
