Why would auth token be lost on relaunch?

discord-screenaudio has been packaged in nixpkgs-unstable: https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/blob/nixos-unstable/pkgs/applications/networking/instant-messengers/discord-screenaudio/default.nix#L48.

Upon relaunch of the app, I do not remain logged in. I submitted an issue here on the nixpkgs repo: NixOS/nixpkgs#273454.

Later (just now), I found that there had been prior discussion of this issue here: NixOS/nixpkgs#249670 (comment).

I am hoping that someone here may have some insight into why this is occurring and what can be done to remedy it.
