NewBreeze 2.3.0 Preview

The all new and feature rich NewBreeze v2.3.0 is here.

Armed with a snazzy SidePanel, a categorized folder view, an inbuilt application viewer and catalog support, the latest release of NewBreeze is all set to make your file management a much better experience.

This is the only file manager available for linux other than Konqueror/Dolphin to have the option of "Show in Groups".

A compact sidebar means that you can see more folders/files at once. At the same time, hovering on the Devices/Bookmarks icon expands the sidebar to reveal the drives and the bookmarks.

Want a way to group together folders with similar contents but not move them to a different folder? You got it! "Catalog" them and view them in the Catalog view. I have provided four convenience catalogs, Documents, Music, Pictures and Videos but there is no reason why you can't add your own!

NewBreeze v2.1.0

With several small bug fixes, performance tweaks, and beautification changes, NewBreeze 2.1.0 is now moving on to be a very smooth and a feature rich file manager.

Armed with the two new views the ApplicationView, to view/run the list of installed GUI applications and CatalogView, to group together folders with similar contents, NewBreeze 2.1.0 is now ready to make your file management experience all the more easy.

We now have a better Copy/Move system based on NBFileIO core class to perform the IO and NBIOManager gui class to show the progress.

The long promised open with defaults has finally been added to the release. Also NB 2.1.0 now tries to be freedesktop.org compliant. The default applications for mime types are now read from mimeapps.list and defaults.list files in various locations.

'Archiving Copy' functionality has been added to this release. This helps you to archive files/folders to your backup device refreshing only the modified files. Pressing [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Alt] while dropping items executes Archiving Copy.

NewBreeze v2.0.0

This the first release of the NewBreeze v2 series, v2.0.0. It comes with a new redesigned UI, remodeled core functions, and some new features like the NBTreeView for detailed list, NBSidePanelView and NBSidePanelModel for a unified and compact SidePanel, backgrounding of Copy/Move processes, NBServer for resource sharing, etc.

Upcoming features are "Send to trash" context menu option, the long awaited "Set open with defaults", "Delete UI", "Copy to" and "Move to" and may be "Send to" context menu options, pdf and av support for Peeking absed on Qt Multimedia and more importantly, Qt5 support
