@markusrt@JuliaWall as we are busy collecting epidemiologic data I designed a survey for each laboratory, which you find attached. Do you think that it might be possible to integrate that data aquisition into the current platform. i.e. to ask for every isolate whether it is hospital aquired (nosokomial) or communitiy aquired (mitgebracht). In addition, annual data needs to be assessed (number of patientdays for year XX), which should be surveyed only once a year.
How should this survey be executed. Currently there are already X isolates stored for each of the laboratories. Is it planned to collect hospital/community aquired retrospectively as well or should this only be collected for new entries?
The number of patientdays per year could as well be a property on each sentinel record. I.e. we could add a field for number of days in hospital. But I don't know if this is known when laboratories enter the data. Having this at each record would make it easy to do a yearly aggregation.
@MaxAldejohann this week we discussed the topic of epidemiological data. I noticed that your already created an issue on this some time ago. Maybe you can use this to refine your needs so I could then move it forward to implementation.
