Usually the participating laboratory finds one candida per sentinel entry which is reported accordingly.
e.g. stored as SN-2022-001

Once the sample is arriving at the coordinating laboratory it could happen that another two candidae are found.
In this case it should be possible to add a mixed culture which then gets the suffix -a -b, etc.

E.g., in this case 2022-001-a, 2022-001-b

Maximum expected number of mixed cultures is 3-4 (to keep in mind for UX design)

  • The coordinating laboratory is able to edit all entries via cryo view
  • Prepare UX prototype
  • Extend UX prototype to show mixed cultures also in the overview.
  • Mixed cultures can be added to existing entries
    original entry SN-XXXX-YYY, mixed cultures SN-XXXX-YYY-a, SN-XXX-YYY-b, ...
  • Mixed cultures can also be entered for newly created entries
    numbers start with SN-XXXX-YYY-a, SN-XXX-YYY-b, ... already
  • For each mixed culture there is an additional entry for "species", "species identification method", and "test results"
  • During editing it is possible to add and remove entries for mixed cultures once they are stored they can not be removed anymore

In order to prepare the mixed cultures it is now possible to edit
existing entries via cryo view. Edit is allowed for all members of
the coordinating laboratory (i.e. role super user)
