Per-line tax rate for invoices

It would be very interesting to be able to make individual items taxable or tax-exempt (such as legal costs and government fees) on invoices.
In our case, we are a legal service provider, and our invoices are composed of 50% tax-exempt items.
This feature exists in platforms such as Quickbooks, but to be honest, this plugin is far more ideal for a customer facing experience.
