I have the same issue with Verizon bills. They look fine in Firefox embedded viewer, but "fat fonts" in Atril.
The properties dialog shows 17 identical embedded "No name", "Type 3" fonts.
The creator is "Ricoh Americas Corporation, AFP2PDF Plus Version: 1.301.33"

Expected behaviour
PDF should be displayed fine, like Firefox shows it:
Actual behaviour
By opening it in Atril, it shows like this:

Steps to reproduce the behaviour
Open this file with Atril and open with Firefox
