Then it stops running
I tried to remove some of these broken files but there are too many, does somebody know how to fix this problem? Maybe just by skipping some photos.

They aren't broken files, they are HEIC format (live photos from iOS). Newer version of exiftool should support them but I haven't had much luck with the node version this tool uses.
