Sorry guys..I have a fix coming this weekend. I am rolling back the main master branch to have the old look/feel of 1.7.x and I will add the "Add Overlay" button back in. Plans for the UI will be put on hold until I can get some help.

The new release (1.8) has been submitted to mozilla for approval. The add overlay is now located in the Pixel Perfect menu. See the new screenshots on the addon page for details.
