We've been investigating the best way to make use of Bynder with Drupal 9 and this provides a great route. Very happy that we'll be able to use standard Drupal tooling for image manipulation.
Just wondering what the plans are for this module. Is is possible that it could be released on Drupal.org?

We did implement this for a specific client, it is up to Bynder whether they want to have to have this released more publicly.
Note that we recently added support for DAT which is a lot more flexible than predefined derivatives: https://www.drupal.org/project/bynder/releases/4.0.1. I suggest you talk to yours or your clients contact at Bynder if and why you prefer this solution over that, generally they prefer to push their integrated approach.
I noticed the addition of DAT, which seems like a great approach for utilising all the features provided by Bynder and was something we pushed for initially.
Unfortunately in this particular instance, the cost involved in utilising DAT was seen as prohibitive. For this reason we've chosen to use the bynder_local approach.
Later down the line, there's the potential to update our assets using SNS; so we're expecting to end up with a fairly useful and extensible solution.
Thanks for such a useful module.
