I know of some newer laptops with intel gen 4 and 5 that are HP based, apparently, coreboot proted a few including this one which I have huge interest in:

https://mail.coreboot.org/hyperkitty/list/[email protected]/thread/5B5N743IPGGYW3PRSI7S75SV3FQWYHUY/

I know of no one who is currently making rom builds for it, even libreboot, for the time being.

It has NVME support and the me can be cleaned just like X230, T430, etc...

I wouldn't usually request something like this, given you focus on thinkpads mainly and a few at that, but I just thought I would throw this idea to you in case you had interest/were willing.

If not, oh well. Let me know if you find this proposition of interest or not.

There's lots of new laptops that already ship with coreboot. https://system76.com/laptops and https://shop.puri.sm/shop/librem-14/ come to mind.

As of supporting other newer hardware that coreboot supports here, I think if it's a laptop that was sold without Intel bootguard enabled, we could think about it. I personally would stick with platforms where no FSP is needed for building and running coreboot, and AFAIK that limits us to these ivybridge / kabylake generations of processors.
