Is SQL Server Enterprise a requirement?

We saw the same error that was reported in this thread.

Online index operations can only be performed in Enterprise edition of SQL Server.

Our question is: Is SQL Server Enterprise required to run fhir-server? There is a significant cost increase to license Enterprise over Standard.

Hi @peteot,

Yes, SQL Server Enterprise is required to use this solution with SQL. The reasoning behind this is FHIR Search Parameters - online index creation and reindexing is needed to support changing search parameters without taking the FHIR server offline.
