The option to work with .NET Core 1.1 is not available as a choice for the generator.

Now, should be have a version for DotNet Core 2.0 with DotNet.Watcher.Tools

It's really unfortunate the tooling is so lacking. It is much quicker and easier to get up and running with Node (and I'm a .NET guy!)
