Using the format specifiers incorrectly isn't treated as an error by most compilers though many of them will print a warning during compilation. For example, Visual Studio's compiler should do this by default: C4477 and so should clang: |

I tried to code in c language in vs code, i specified a float value under %d which is bascially a integer format specifier, but when i compiled it and runned it, the terminal printed 0 in place of giving an error of using wrong format specifier
