How to set 'ignore build errors' for tests/turn build errors into failing tests?

Hi all,

I'm trying to learn by practice by 'doing' TDD and a main thing seems to be 'write a failing test first, then implement'. When I do this though, I constantly get compilation errors when I run my tests before implementing - which are useless as the code is meant to fail (initially) and then be implemented.

How can I tell the plugin to ignore any build errors for my tests or (better) report back failing tests?
