Brief description of your issue

image
The package Autodesk.AutodeskAccess doesn't install. The available package version is also diffrent from the latest officially released by Autodesk. The installed version is not recognized correctly.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install any 2024 Autodesk product and Autodesk Access is installed automatically. OR Install the standalone AdODIS-installer from Autodesk site.
  2. winget update --all --include-unknown

Expected behavior

Winget should detect the installed version of Autodesk Access properly and update if a new version is available.

Actual behavior

Winget is not detecting the installed version properly. The proposed available version from winget is not the latest. The installer hash does not match probably because the downloaded installer hash is checked against the hash of the old available version shown in winget.

Environment

Windows Package Manager v1.6.3482
Windows: Windows.Desktop v10.0.19045.3803
System Architecture: X64
Package: Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller v1.21.3482.0

This should be moved to the winget-pkgs repo.

URL is to 'latest', so clearly unless the package hash is upgraded every release, it's going to go out of date.

Recommend pointing to a specific version of a file that matches the hash and version.
