Is there a way to rotate proxies?

I have read the configuration section about proxies and you can set-up multiple diffrent proxies for different protocols but there's nothing about using multiple for the same protocol, the requests page doesn't mention this either. I am aware I can hack this with an automatically switching vpn but that would be janky.

You can set different proxies per hostname or IP, as is described in the requests docs or given as example in extractor.proxy:

To give a proxy for a specific scheme and host, use the scheme://hostname form for the key. This will match for any request to the given scheme and exact hostname.

proxies = {'http://10.20.1.128': 'http://10.10.1.10:5323'}

You could also use an input file with -i/--input-file and change the proxy server for each URL:

- proxy = "http://10.10.1.10:3128"
https://example.org/

- proxy = "http://10.10.1.20:3128"
https://example.com/

...
