There are a pretty hefty set of requirements we should aim to match to be added to the official awesome list of awesome lists. This would help publicity and reinforce that this is an awesome list, not just a list of everything (at the moment its somewhere in-between due to how large it is).

I haven't looked too thoroughly at it, but it looks like this will take a bit of work, but increase visibility greatly.

I figure we'll start by collecting links to most everything that we like, as we're doing now, and then trim down the older and less popular libraries in a week or two when we start making an effort on this task.

For these requirements to ever be met, we've got to be a lot more selective in our process and trim down the size a lot...

For the time being, we're going to have to ask a few requirements of new submissions like we've done a bit in the past, and as time allows, retroactively enact these to the rest of the list:

  • Projects have to be older than 5 months but still actively maintained
  • All entries must be translated to all languages (currently EN, CA)
  • No profanity in title or comment
  • Links to GitHub, not npm
