Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

The problem is that Users are confused about how voting is counted.

Describe the solution you'd like

In the places where the user is confused, we include links that go back to the FAQ - where a description of how each voting mechanism works is included.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Other solutions considered:

  1. Tooltips with info about how each strategy works.
  2. Text under each (strategy) option to clarify the effects of actions

Additional context

Other notes from the Miro board related to this problem:

  • "user is not sure why there are 70 votes"
  • "The default assumption is that pay.party uses a qudratic strategy"
  • "user's assumption is that anybody can vote"
  • "the amount to distribute was confusing"
  • "user raised the question "What happens if a user is added multiple times to  a list?" Do they have more voting power?"
  • "Vote Page: She wonders why she has 30 votes (or N amount of votes)"
  • "Vote Page: She's intrigued that she can access "negative" votes / that negative votes even showing up was an option."
