Several improvements that could be made to the GBFS support:

  • Documentation: include an example config file with GBFS in docs/setup.md
  • Web UI: show stations status on the map, available bikes/parking spots
  • Web UI: do not "crop" the nice bike/cargo bike icons :

  • Web UI: arrival shown 2 times? Also why the arrival point is named after the GBFS operator name (in case of RegioRad Stuttgart) ?

  • Routing: for RegioRad Stuttgart it seems to drop off the bike in the street (although the website states only drop-off at stations is allowed), I'll investigate the GBFS data, but seems similar to GBFS problem: incorrectly composed path #731. Edit: it seems RegioRad Stuttgart doesn't really specify correctly all this in their GBFS, so probably upstream data issue :)

Anyway thanks a lot for the GBFS support in Motis. I just opened this issue to give some feedback, to try and improve some details :)
