functions.xml #2
Comments
Hello, yes you're right; you can modify functions.xml to add new nodes. I'm not up-to-date with the currently available tools but I'm quite sure that Zwerg is very limited compared to those other tools since it is more of a prototype than a complete solution. It also has inconvenient limitations - for example nesting (for more than 1 level deep - doing operations on results) does not work (but could be added easily with a little effort). It can be useful though for setting up a scene and then continue in code - I think. Anyway, I wish you the best on your journey working with signed distance fields! |
I just came across this one ... have not tested but looks promising: |
Indeed, looks great!
I'm afraid it doesn't export to glsl though :/

Hi just wanted to say thanks and the fact that Im using Zwerg.
It's perfect for me, as I'd like to stay more on the modeling/compositional side of things, instead of the whole code/math-rabbithole of shaders.
Is it correct to assume that I can just modify functions.xml with some extra functions, like from here: https://iquilezles.org/www/articles/distfunctions/distfunctions.htm
As in...bring your own batteries?
