Steps to reproduce

Run automation test XCUITests/NavigationTest#testOpenInNewPrivateTab
Remove the workaround in order to reproduce the issue
or

  1. Open an webpage and long-tap on an article link
  2. Choose "Open in New Private Tab"
  3. The article is loaded in a new private tab
  4. Go to tab tray and quickly change to private tab.

Expected behavior

Need to determine the expected behavior, given the test is using a local website, not sure what domain should be shown under the tab.

Actual behavior

As you can see on the video attached on a first reach of private tab www.iana.org domain is under the tab
After switching back from regular to private mode, example domains is shown under the tab

Device & build information

  • Device: iPhone 16, iOS 18.2 simulator
  • Build version: 138, 137
