TP-Link USB 3.0 7-Port Hub

I'm using a Mac mini. This Hub is recognized by uhubctl, and I have also checked the "lsusb -v" command and confirmed that it has "Per-port power switching". Problem is that once I turn off a port, data transfer is stopped but the phone connected to it still charges. Since I am connected to a USB3 upstream port, and have 2 hubs showing (2.0 and 3.0, the duality) I verified that both were turned off, and even bought a M/F usb 2.0 cable, to insert between the hub and pc, effectively making only 7 usb 2.0 ports appear. Still, it won't turn off the power and the phone keeps charging. Any suggestions?

There are previous reports of this hub not supporting VBus control e.g. #319. So, it it not listed as supported for a reason.

I recommend finding hub that is listed in current supported table.

Thank you for the quick response! Since it was recognized and I could switch off the data transfer I feared that I might run into the same problem if I bought one from the list. But I understand now that it can be recognized and stop data transfer but not be able to turn off the power. One last thing, is there any affordable hub that you know works and is available in Europe? I've gone through the list and many of the hubs were discontinued or out of stock, unfortunatelly. I wanted to buy the D-Link 7 port hub but noticed only the old version (silver) worked and it's pretty hard to find here. Thanks again for the feedback!
