Also of note is the Za'lek HQ asset graphic from naev/naev@9c38067 and the Emperor's Wrath from naev/naev@8029e2a. |

Thanks to some sleight of hand, "imp" and "prototype" are sort of done. The Mephisto model in naev-artwork actually matched the Za'lek Prototype; before today, the in-game Mephisto was a totally different thing. |
Prototype and imp are also fine with the removal of them both right? |
I'm guessing we should just try to remake the 3 missing ships for now? We'll have to figure out what to do with the station later, but probably also a remake... |
I've been able to scrounge up and fix all the 3D ships except for a couple. The final role call for missing ships:

I have the thurion ship models, but the originals are all max files w/ fbx
exports. Blender's fbx importer can't import them correctly however

That would be great! If you have max and can also export to something like OBJ or whatever that blender can also import, that would also be useful, as it may be easier to import. For example, I had to go through OBJ to import the sirius ships to newer blender because they were impossible otherwise. |
Just a friendly reminder if you could share the original I can try to work with it (ideally in OBJ or some format blender can, but even raw would be fine). I've merged the 3D ships today and this would help lower the amount of non-3D ships. |
I've managed to mostly convert them to a format (gltf) that blender can
import correctly, however I have had no success so far with preserving the
materials.
If you'd like them in that state, I can upload them somewhere

As long as it has the mesh, UV map, and textures, it should be fine. I'll have to rework the material anyway a bit. If you could upload it somewhere (I think you can upload a .zip here too) it would be great. Thanks! |
It appears the mesh and UV maps are there (though the thurion ships were
designed with some shortcuts since they were designed to be rendered). I
need to locate the textures though, they are probably somewhere else on my
NAS.

OK, cool! If you try to pack in blender, it should give you the filenames (and old paths). Might give you a hint. I look forward to getting them. We only need the "Ingenuity", the rest of the ships are all fine. |
@AvanWolf As we're nearing year's end and release, just a soft reminder on this. Would be nice to have the new model for the last Thurion ship. If textures are missing, might be worth just trying to make new ones. |
Hi, I did end up having to reconstruct a bunch of stuff - tried to get it
as faithful to old reference renders I still had laying around. There was
also a model file for a station that I didnt have any reference render for,
so I just guessed as to what I had intended all those years ago.
All the items should be available in this google drive folder (textures are
packed in the materials in the blender files as well)

Let me know when you have the files so I can delete them from my google
