There are some update cases where an error will occur that locks the napari window. It seems to be when a plugin now includes a new package to import. Need to figure out how to get the upgrade properly.

Would need to investigate further to check what might be causing this issue, since there is no reproducible example 🤔

I suggest closing this one for now because it's not really actionable. I think it might be similar to napari/packaging#178.
