Talking with @psobolewskiPhD, we're thinking about adding something to the README to encourage folks to upstream content they add to their PRs.

A specific suggestion was to ask people to submit a GH issue to the template repository and providing a link to their workshop repository that was derived from the template so we can pull in new content.

Another option I've found useful is having a GitHub discussions topic about it, see for example melissawm/sphinx-tags#32
