In an email thread about his blog post, @jaimergp mentioned:

Whoa! How do we do this? Can I associate napari with tiff files on my computer?

Technically yes! We would need to add the relevant extensions in the menuinst shortcut. See this example.

I don't understand what that means 😅, so I thought I'd raise an issue here for more visibility / something to work against. It would be an awesome QOL improvement for me and would 100% get me using the bundle, finally 😂

Maybe the Spyder example is a bit more helpful than the synthetic test example.

Is CFBundleDocumentTypes the relevant section? And how does one know the right values to use there? What would tiff be? What about .czi (Carl Zeiss Image), the other CZI 😂?
