R is a dependency of some addon modules and it makes sense to use it together, so perhaps a separate module grass-r or something like that.
It seems that a user expectation would be that this would have rgrass pre-installed, but the trouble is that R users may need/want a lot of latest geospatial packages installed and these would likely get outdated fast.
