  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates
  • I am submitting a bug report for existing functionality that does not work as intended
  • I have (kinda) read the project documentation and not found a solution to my problem there
  • This isn't a feature request or a discussion topic

Bug description

HidHide breaks after mounting and dismounting a volume in veracrypt. Trying to open Hidhide only results in this error:
"Something unforseen has happened which cannot be recovered from. Program execution has to be terminated. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Hidhide can be used again after restarting the computer. Hidhide is not on the mounted/dismounted volume. Hidhide should not interact with anything on the mounted/dismounted volume to my knowledge.
Nothing of note or related to Hidhide in the Event Viewer.

Steps to reproduce

  • install Hidehide
  • mount a volume in veracrypt (hidhide still works)
  • dismount that volume (hidhide will no longer work until restart)

Actual result: Hidehide breaks and can no longer be used.
Expected result: Hidhide doesn't break and can still be used.

Machine info

AMD Ryzen™ 9 5900X - x86-64
Microsoft Windows 10 Home 22H2
Same result with HidHide_1.5.212_x64 and HidHide_1.5.230_x64
