Release candidate 0.11.1-rc1

Dear users,

I just pushed out a release candidate version 0.11.1-rc1. This should be rather stable and I see no reason why a backport to 0.11.0 should not work in case of errors. So, if you are eager to test out the latest version, feel free to give it a try.

For personal reasons, @seyfeb and me are absent for a few days each. Therefore the version was not published as a regular 0.11.1 release but only as a release candidate. Normally, I would have made it the version 0.11.1. However, I fear some issues/regressions need immediate attention and that we are unable to do that. Therefore, the plan is to release a real 0.11.1 as soon as we are (almost ?) back and might be able to handle any upcoming, pressing issues.

We will probably have the version by mid/end of June. Thanks for your patience.
