What do you mean exactly? That one answer option is already prefilled?

Exactly !

@susnux What do you think? I don't think this makes sense only for this one question type. If we agree on adding this, I want to have it for all question types via a prefill property for the questions or another thing inside extraSettings.

But on the other hand, why should we add this in the first place... I think in the end a form/questionnaire is about the users answers and not about what the form owner adds as a default.

Google Forms also doesn't have the feature but only the possibility to prefill values via a link (see #638)

I would move this to "Maybe someday" and see if other users are interested in this feature.
(If you are please react with 👍 on the initial(!) issue post/comment)

And first get #638 implemented

Or what is your purpose @RobinDev ? Maybe I forget some use case.

It would also be helpful for dropdowns.

@Chartman123 use case: If you know the default answer, that most of the users will choose, it makes the process of filling in the form easier/faster.
For example, if you have multiple dropdowns with options 0-10 and most people will select 0 anyways on all of them, this option could be preselected. Currently these fields may be only relevant to few users but take time for everyone to fill in.

@ce-sch if they aren't relevant forall users, why do you make them "required"?

@Chartman123 My current example: a form as an invitation.
I have one required dropdown, the number of people you come with, and two that are not required, number of vegetarians and number of vegans.
It would be nice to have default values 1,0,0.
Most people will come alone, and are neither vegetarian or vegan, so they could only input their name and submit.
Now they have to choose 1 and could theoretically skip the other dropdowns. But especially older people tend to fill out the other fields too. (The field tells them to choose an option and they do so. Also it seems to be good practice that no answer is not the same as 0 in other cases). And those are already the ones for which an online form is the biggest hurdle in the first place.
