I use dodai-deploy's create-volume-group.sh script to create a loopback device for a volume group. Now, after rebooting the volume group disappears which can be seen by issuing
sudo vgdisplay
I found that I can persist the loopback device by adding an upstart job in Ubuntu server (as explained here). Maybe some pointer to this in the documentation would be nice or the script can be improved to automatically do something similar.
