In order to replace ANTs/ITK based resamplings, the interface should allow two additional inputs:

  • in_reference - the sampling reference in the desired output space
  • in_transforms - a list of transform files that are precomposed with hmc and sdc

This will allow, for instance, to resample BOLD in T1w or standard spaces with one just shot and using only Python tooling we maintain.
