It's relatively difficult to see differences between individual snapshots of hazard layers:

  • change over time
  • difference between scenarios

How could we map changes/differences?

  • pre-calculate difference TIFFs as (A - B) for specific combinations
  • read and calculate on the fly before we render tiles

How might the user interface handle this?

  • separate "difference" section with preset options/combinations
  • selector interface to pick A and B
  • diverging colour map - may need to configure how values are mapped to a colour range (configure min/max? fixed zero?)
