Swipe gestures are sometimes not recognized well. Swiping right usually works well, but swiping left does not.
The problem is due to different sensitivity values of the keys. Some keys have a lower sensitivity than others. This makes it difficult to recognize the swipe gesture. Rolled up aluminum foil is currently used as a replacement for a spring to make contact between the keys and the circuit board. The aluminum foil makes poorer contact after a while and the sensitivity of the key decreases.
As a temporary solution, the aluminum foil can be removed and rolled up more tightly. The aluminum ball must protrude slightly from the recess so that the circuit board can squeeze the ball together during assembly. A better solution is a spring for a electrical contact.
By calibrating and standardizing all keys via software after booting, differences in the sensitivity of the keys can be compensated. This should significantly improve the recognition of swipe gestures.
