I’m working on updating the README file to include the current projects being worked on by the DISC Committee. I tried looking for the list of projects but couldn’t find it—apologies if I missed it!

Could you please share the list of projects, along with a brief description for each? Once I have the details, I’ll ensure the README is updated and keep it organized moving forward.

I was hoping to start a discussion about whether that's a good place to publish the list and any other information that we should publish under this repo.

Active DISC Committee Projects:

• DISC Unconeference 2025

• DEI Handbook - continuation working on the one of the DISC Unconference 2023 projects. Contributions are maintained in smaller groups of autors now, and will be published online avaliable for adition contributors later in 2025. The primary version of the project is awailabe here

• DISCOVER-Cookbook

• Additionally for the DISC Iniciatives, NumFOCUS organize the fallowing iniciatives forcussing on inclusion in open source:

  • NumHack - AI Hackathon for good
  • Impact Scholarship Program
  • We are fundraising to start JADES: Mentorship Program
